Is Heaven Real? An Account of a Little Girl's Vision of Angels
85
When my son fell off of a slide at the age of six, he was knocked unconscious. Someone called an ambulance but it was me and my husband who rushed him to the hospital.
I will never forget that day not only because my son lived, but because as I sat praying in the wee hours of the night my tiny two year old came walking into the bedroom to tell me about the angels outside.

The Accident
It was a sunny afternoon in the summer and my six-year-old son bounded off to the nearby playground with a couple of neighbor kids. I was baking cookies in the kitchen with my extremely bright two-year-old at my side.
The smell of freshly baked cookies was in the air as I began to place another pan of cookie dough into the hot oven. Just then the door burst open and a couple of very young, teen-age girls that I didn't recognize came rushing inside. I was taken aback as I saw the look of serious concern on their faces.
'Your son just fell off the slide!' one of them cried.
I stopped dead in my tracks as I tried to comprehend the two girls that just bursted into my home and at what was just said. Standing there with oven open and cookie sheet still in hand I could only stare at these beautiful young girls that I had never seen before.
One of the girls came over to me, gently took me by the hand and led me urgently toward the door. The other girl immediately took the cookie sheet from my hand, closed the oven door and turned it off. She then scooped up my two-year-old and followed along side of me and the other girl.
The girl leading me by the hand began to tell me that she was the bus patrol from my son's school bus and she knew where he lived. She also began to tell me exactly what happened and that I must come right away! I followed her to the door without hesitation.

His Lifeless Body Laid Crumpled on the Ground
As soon as we were outside I could see the playground with many young children standing around in a group at the bottom of the tall slide in the middle of the playground. I gasped and let go of the hand that was guiding me as I began to run as fast as I could toward the scene.
The two girls followed behind me, one of them holding tightly to my two-year-old cradled within her arms and chest.
I eventually lost sight of the two girls who ran with me to the playground as I now stood over my son's lifeless body. I noticed other adults gathering around and someone holding my two-year-old's hand from the corner of my eye.
I knelt down and saw that my son was unconscious. There were many voices and offerings of help. Apparently my husband had just gotten home from work and joined me somewhere during the confusion because the next thing I knew I was rushing my son to the hospital with my husband at the wheel of our car and my two-year-old in the car seat in the back. My son laid helpless in my arms as I looked down at his angelic face and prayed.
Once we arrived at the hospital my son was given an examination and then X-ray's were taken. The doctor told me that he didn't appear to have suffered a brain hemorrhage or anything but he wasn't out of the dark because his brain could still swell.
'No matter what, though', the doctor told me, 'he'll have a powerful headache in the morning and he'll need lots of rest'. We were then allowed to take him home but were told to keep him awake for as long as possible in order to detect any signs of serious injury.
We did as the doctor told us but it began to get very late into the night so we put our son to bed. I had put my daughter to bed much earlier so she was fast asleep. All night long I kept checking on my son, praying all the while.
About three-in-the-morning I climbed into bed. Kneeling, I put my face into the pillow and began a fervent prayer on behalf of my son.
Warrior Angels
With tears streaming down my cheeks I begged God to protect my son. I pleaded with Him to surround my house with warrior angels and to send a healing hand to touch my precious child. Just then, my two-year-old daughter walked into my room through the partially open door. She was rubbing her eyes as she said "Mommy, there's angels outside".
I was in shock and couldn't believe my ears. I began to probe her for what she saw. She began to give an account of strong, male angels wearing robes with swords in their belts. She said they stood taller than the house and were standing shoulder to shoulder.
I cried as I picked her up. I laid her in bed with me, thanking God under my breath. The two of us fell asleep in my bed along side my husband. I later woke up to the sound of both my kids happily laughing and jumping on my son's bed. I ran to them, thanking God for protecting and healing my child.
From that day on I periodically asked my two-year-old to tell me about the angels she saw that night. Her story never changed over the years. Even up to the very day that I last spoke with her on the phone prior to her sudden death in a car accident. Something inside me made me ask her again to give me an account of what she saw that night that she came into my room.

This was a beautiful story! It is totally inspiring, and you are a great writer too. Since I have been writing about heaven, this also made me remember a few "miraculous" rescues from my own life that I will have to share in an upcoming hub. I am bookmarking this story to backlink to it and giving it a stumbled upon thumbs up!!
Did you ever see or speak to those young girls again that came and got you? Have you ever thought that they might have been angels?
I love this hub. It is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Kaloomba...thank you for that story...I am so sorry about the loss of your daughter...but knowing that she was able to see angels, must have been comforting to you...please read my hub about entertaining an angel...or at least I believe she was an angel...Blessings
What a beautiful story- I believe in angels, definitely...as well as visits to Heaven- I'm preparing to buy "6 Big Big Big Angels" a story about a 4 year old little girl who visited Heaven, after falling off a pool ladder- her grandma's retelling of it :) --God is so good that He allows us glimpses of Him and His kingdom :)
this is a very nice story about your family, GOD did a lot of miraculous things in my life and also in my family, almost taking our life but praise the LORD we are still alive... =)
This made me cry. Especially about the part where you mentioned your daughter dieing.
Another crazy Christian trying to turn people to the dark side. I bet half of this story never happened, or any of it for that matter. You have no proof of those angels except for a two year old telling you so? Really? My three year old nephew told me the other day he wet his bed because he saw a dinosaur in his room, dreaming probably, like your daughter. Also I highly doubt that you daughter would remember anything for years to come from the age of two.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. If its true, good for you, your son is okay. I personally don't think it has anything to do with God.
This is a beautiful testimony...I too saw two Angels...you could see my hubs on it...yes...and I too feel saddened that your daughter died...but...I believe she is waiting for you guys in heaven...be blessed... :)
don't worry about James..i think he is a 'towel head' they don't beleive in god they beleive in violence and destruction..we were told an antichrist would bring darkness..figure it out.
That was lovely i hope you have a very good time in heaven when u do go plus i hope the worrior angels are still there bless u and ur son and daugter im sorry 4 your loss bless you x
Thank you for sharing your story.I know you will see your daughter again. She will be with you as long as you live....
Remember..... People will have their opinion.... and it is just that.....It doesn't make it true..... Don't let it bother you.....
I have written only one hub and I invite you to read it. Angels Are Around Us.
Light Is Love
I love this story. I have been trying to figure out if there is a real god out there and as a kid i was so tired of searching that i commited suicide. I lived but i swore that when i was unconcious i saw angels. Again this story is wonderful. Thank u for sharing it.
Your story is indeed beautiful.
But if anyone can answer me this, I'll be eternally greatful - why does God choes to save some and not others, despite "fervent" prayers and a lifelong Christianity of the victim or their praying close ones.
Thanks for such an inspirational story! I believe every part of it. Remember, God said, those that have eyes, let them see; so definitely not everyone would see eye to eye with you. All I've got to tell you is that, you daughter is an angel too because it takes one to know another. May God continue to work miracles in your life because personally I do believe in them. God bless you!
This story was wonderful. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of how good our God really is. He loves us so much more than anybody could ever love us.
Be Blessed much LOVE too all of you.

Amazing! My favorite angel story!!
Wow! Thank you for allowing me to share in your experience. This is the most beautiful account I've ever heard.
I believe it. I've had a couple of experiences. God bless you.
I want so desperately to believe in God, the purpose for my existence, and as was mentioned, why some die and others live. I have struggled with my beliefs for most of my life, but I've always believed and loved Jesus. Organized religion is not for me, but wouldn't it be wonderful if there was a heaven and that we would see the loved ones that have gone. I have always wondered if cremation makes a difference as opposed to burial. I don't think so, as I can't imagine that an emballed body would be any better than none. It's the soul that counts, right?
Praise God!! He is real! He is True! He loves us so! Angels are real and are dispatched by our God who created them. He loves you and your family and I believe that He has special plans for you, your husband and your son. Your trust and faith in Him and His promises will reunite your family in paradise. Praise God!
Sincerely in Jesus,
W.R. Shinn
Inspiring story I love it so much
Certainly makes you think.
amazing
i dont know what I believe. I am truly sorry that your daughter died
This is the 2nd account of an angel story I heard this month. Very inspiring. A co-worker's heart stopped beating for a few minutes while very ill at the hospital last year. He stated that when this happened he saw 3 angels. One on the left, one on the right and the other at the foot of his bed. The angel on this right asked him if he was ready to go home. He said "not yet". His heart begin beating once again.
I believe in God and have had my own miracle. One of my sons was very ill two years ago and was in ICU for over a week. One day the doctor requested permission to try a new drug because so far my son had progressively gotten worst, and unless things changed, he may not make it, but there were many dangerous that may occur with this drug. That night I opened the bible to a passage where Jesus had healed someone's son because the father believed. I began to pray fervently, and told Jesus that if he just willed it that my son too would be healed. All he had to do was will it. A peace then came over me, as I drifted it off to sleep, as I had not felt in a very long time. The very next morning when I reached the hospital my son was sitting in a chair for the first time in a week. The doctor said he was not yet out of the woods but his lungs had finally shown signs of improvement. I remembered my faithful prayer the night before, and will remember this very special miracle for as long as I live.
Praise God. I love you Jesus.
God bless all who believe
God is here to protect us ! He loves us ! Guys, don't forget to sign the petition to make the goernment tell us the truth about 12/21/12. :) Thanks!
Hey I was never much of a believer of organized religion but that right there truly says something. I cannot be saddened by the loss of your daughter but grateful that our heavenly father is holding her hand waiting for everyone else. I was deeply moved by your story, when I have problems believing due to organized religion it's people like you that fire that spark up once again. Thank you so much and God be with you and your family!!!

I had an out-of-body experience when I was 7 or 8 years old. I was drowning after being knocked unconscious in a diving board accident at a city swimming pool in Memphis. I could see the lifeguard swimming to get me; only I was looking down at his back from way up in the air -- way over his head. A little later, when I woke up, I was being resuscitated by the side of the pool. Praise God.
